I recently came across Rabéa Ballin‘s detailed drawings during a night of webbing for stylized representations of Black women. She pays close attention to hair in several of her exhibits and as weird as it sounds, I love the parts.
I mean, have you ever had your mother part your hair? Or rubbed oil or cream or butter through the parts of your hair? So delicate, so intricate, so beautiful.
